Luise Schmidt is associate of COOPERATIVE Infrastructure and Environment since 2019 and executive partner since 2022. She studied environmental engineering at the Technical University Darmstadt specialising in spatial planning and water management with additional projects and classes in the field of architecture. She completed her studies with a master thesis on “Sponge City in China – Development of an urban district based on efficient greywater management”. Her focus of work lies in climate adaption developing sector coupling concepts with a special focus on green-blue infrastructure and in the development of mobility concepts. Luise Schmidt is member of the Vereinigung für Stadt-, Regional- und Landesplanung (SRL) and the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waster (DWA).

Jörg Felmeden is CEO of COOPERATIVE Infrastructure and Environment since August 2014. He studied civil engineering at the University of Kassel specialising in water management and environmental technology and completed his work as a research assistant in the department of sanitary and environmental engineering at the University of Kassel with a doctorate on “Phosphorus reduction by retention soil filter plants within combined sewage treatment”. He worked at the Hessian road administration as a planning engineer and was lastly employed as a research associate at the Institute of Socio-Economic Research (ISOE) in Frankfurt am Main with his research focus on water infrastructure and risk analysis. His focus of work lies in the development and evaluation of strategies and concepts for the adaption and transformation of technical infrastructures to changing social and environment critical challenges, with emphasis on demography and climate change.
He is member of the International Water Association (IWA), the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waster (DWA) where he works in several groups of technical committees for the development of technical codes. Jörg Felmeden is consultant engineer (Beratender Ingenieur, BI) and member of the Hessian Chamber of Engineers.
Since March 2022, Jörg Felmeden has been leading the institute of sanitary and environmental engineering at the department of civil engineering of OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He led the department of sanitary and environmental engineering at the University of Kassel as an interim professor from 2018 to 2020. He has furthermore been teaching in the field of water resource management at the Bauhaus University of Weimar since 2015.
